    Having previously established my own tax and accounting practice, I have an extensive background in accounting, tax, insolvency, and finance complimented by my past experience as the head of the commercial and legal division of one of the largest franchisors in Australia. I hold a public practice certificate.
     
    As a lateral thinker with an entrepreneurial background supported by wide ranging technical and business skills, I have the skills to identify the critical issues experienced by distressed businesses.
     
    I excel in managing client relationships, developing business workouts and turnaround strategies, and resolving complex negotiations with institutions, creditors, lessors, and professional firms.

    I have worked within the legal profession, including roles for law firms and assisting in-house legal counsel, since I commenced my career.
     
    Since 2012, I have specialised in the insolvency industry with a focus on assisting distressed business owners who are seeking advice on options available that will lead to business recovery, or to implement a plan that will finalise all business issues.
     
    I have exceptional skills in client management, business planning, and file processes including a strong knowledge of ASIC procedures.
     
    I am a proud member of Women in Insolvency and Restructuring Queensland Inc (WIRQ).

    Michael Roberts

    Principal – Brisbane Office

    Our principal of the Brisbane city office is a certified accountant with over twenty-five (25) years taxation, CFO and business consultancy experience. Michael is, a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants, a Fellow of the Institute of Financial Accountants United Kingdom, and a Registered ASIC Agent. Michael holds a Professional Public Accounting Practice Certificate (IPA) and completed his post graduate professional accountancy studies with the University of Southern Queensland. During his studies Michael graduated with honours in advanced International & Australian tax law, commercial law and practice.

    Michael understands through years of extensive hands-on experience that a pragmatic approach to all complex business issues, that become the sum of problems solved through teamwork, equals a successful partnership. His core philosophy is to ensure that our clients receive our full attention, and up to date advice for their business and personal circumstances. The result is our clients quickly become aware of how important they are, and he believes our success is purely a result of your success.

    Michael has a proven track record that offers and blends specialist resources that have the technical and industry knowledge to provide both professional advice and practical solutions.
